From Family Business to Institutional Platform

Construction Resources was a third-generation building products organization that grew into a $500M+ platform business serving the residential and commercial construction market. Following a 2022 investment from Mill Point Capital, the organization entered a critical transformation phase focused on professionalizing leadership, scaling operations, and preparing the company for long-term enterprise value creation.

We were retained to help build the executive leadership foundation required to scale the organization and support a future transaction. Our work extended beyond isolated searches: we helped architect leadership teams capable of integrating growth initiatives, improving operational maturity, and supporting the demands of a PE-backed environment.

Positioned for a Successful Exit

Within approximately two years of the initial investment, the company scaled its executive infrastructure and positioned itself for a successful strategic acquisition by The Home Depot in 2024. The engagement resulted in:

  • Successful placement of key C-suite and leadership hires
  • Strengthened operational and financial infrastructure
  • Enhanced organizational scalability
  • Leadership alignment during a high-growth transformation period
  • A successful exit outcome through acquisition
“Following private equity investment, we partnered with Construction Resources to build the executive infrastructure necessary to scale a third-generation business into an institutional-quality platform. Our work included placement of the CFO, CIO, HR leadership, and key directors who helped position the company for its successful acquisition by Home Depot.” Meridian Group Partners, on the Construction Resources engagement
